German Bid Desk Working Team Lead - Athens

This role is a split between a team lead & bid desk specialist

Your Skillset

  • Native in German and C1 English
  • 3-4 years of experience in bid management, back office or solution design
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Solutions skills, especially MS PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for crafting persuasive and clear proposals
  • Great time management and organization skills

Your Role

This role is a split between a team lead & bid desk specialist (individual contributor)

Duties of Team Lead (50% of time)

  • Lead, manage and responsible for the effective collaboration and target attainment of the Bid Desk team of B2B sales specialists focused on developing new and existing accounts across multiple market segments and industries
  • Drive Team KPI and productivity while building a strong ambition to succeed for both the individuals and the team
  • Demonstrate strong influencing skills to drive the team, manage change effectively, resulting in positive outcome
  • Be the role model to motivate & support bid tactics / action plans and constantly look for new ways to drive bids success for self and the bid desk team
  • Responsible for preparing business reviews and reports requested by stakeholders on a weekly, monthly & quarterly basis
  • Proactively improve personal skills to achieve better performance and to improve the quality of daily business as well as motivate and train employees to ensure that the team delivers the needed performance

Duties of Individual contributor: (50% of time)

  • Preparing, coordinating and submitting proposals/concepts
  • Working closely with various departments, but mainly sales, to gather information and input for proposals
  • Write, edit and format bid proposals and concepts
  • Coordinate communication and information flow between departments to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive solution
  • Build a knowledge data base with all relevant information and documents
  • Ensure proper documentation and archiving of all bid-related material
  • Support the sales team in day to day activities
  • Maintain accurate records of all bid activities, submissions and outcomes
  • Seek opportunities to improve bid processes, tools and methodologies
